Purpose-built for complete development
Wisconsin's Premier Hockey Training Facility
Built for Long-Term Athlete Development
At The Armory, development is not treated as a collection of isolated sessions.
Our model is built around complete hockey athlete development — integrating on-ice skill work and off-ice performance training within a structured, year-round system. Each component is intentionally aligned to support how hockey athletes actually grow, adapt, and perform over time.
The result is a more connected, more purposeful development experience.
Integrated On-Ice + Off-Ice Training
BOTH TRAINING APPROACHES MATTER. PROGRESS HAPPENS WHEN THEY WORK TOGETHER.
OFF-ICE TRAINING
Off-ice training builds strength, movement quality, speed, and resilience — preparing athletes to move efficiently and stay durable as demands increase.
ON-ICE TRAINING
On-ice training reinforces skating mechanics, puck skills, and decision-making within game-relevant contexts.
ONE CONNECTED SYSTEM
Our staff aligns both environments to ensure physical development transfers directly to on-ice performance — supporting complete athlete development.
A Seasonally Structured Development Process
ATHLETE DEVELOPMENT EVOLVES THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. OUR PHASED TRAINING MODEL ENSURES ATHLETES TRAIN WITH THE RIGHT FOCUS AT THE RIGHT TIME.
SPRING PHASE — RECOVERY & RECALIBRATION
Restore movement quality and reintroduce skill through guided play.
SUMMER PHASE — GROWTH & BUILDING
Develop strength, speed, power, and high-level hockey techniques and skills.
FALL PHASE — PREPARATION & TRANSFER
Prepare athletes for tryouts and the season while transferring summer gains.
WINTER PHASE — PERFORMANCE & MAINTENANCE
Support durability and sustain performance throughout the season.
Membership-Based Athlete Development
Long-term athlete development doesn’t happen through isolated sessions or short-term programs.
Memberships at The Armory are designed to provide consistent access to integrated on-ice and off-ice training across seasons — and independent, self-guided training opportunities — supporting progression, adaptability, and durability over time.
While athletes may participate in individual programs or select seasons, membership offers the most complete pathway for development and is strongly encouraged for those committed to long-term growth.
